A mistake is when it happens once or twice. Intentional is a frequent occurence.
Just like interrupting & occupying an entire conversation so women can’t network.

And I’ll still watch mutuals who’ll put on horse blinders to it, pretend they didn’t see this and dismiss our voices/efforts as usual.
"Every single one of these men could and should have asked 'who else is involved' and refused to be included if it wasn't balanced."

Yup. I'm also completely unsurprised none of them did. Our industry's gender imbalance is just normalized & accepted. 🧐

Someone once said to me, a person ‘can acknowledge someone’s identity but they don’t have to accept it’ (about trans ppl)

I knew asap that play on words was discourse waiting to happen.
Might as well argue not needing to accept cis identity

I’ll be the buffer, my trans friends deserve better
Ask yourself if someone is actually an opponent or if they're simply not using the right language

Just because someone is using the right language doesn't make them your ally

@miriamgrace.bsky.social made a request that led me down an interesting rabbit hole.

This will visualize any bluesky post as a node diagram,, with different weights applied to relative account reach of people interacting with it. It’s pretty interesting.

As you’re preparing for your Thanksgiving meal, remember the skilled work it took to get that food to your grocery store.

Tell us your favorite Thanksgiving dish, and we can share some of what we know about the work behind the ingredients.

I’m thankful for Native Americans, our indigenous neighbors.
Thankful to have grown up around an array of ethnicities, including mixed.

Dear caucasians in the U.S. trying to forget, Native Americans are the first born.
European settlers/colonizers and followers have always been the immigrants.

Imo. No reply is required if someone tells you they wear a mask for the safety of their family. Or for any reason. It is absolutely fine to not say anything.
