This is BAD. Many countries assisted with building the containment over reactor 4. Because Chernobyl is an existential threat. Canada donated over 66 million dollars. Building this was an example of extreme engineering. That a drone could do this to any nuclear facility has been a concern.

It’s not a journey, I can tell you that for certain.

This is a great read on how we talk about chronic illness (shoutout Susan Sontag’s foundational writing on the topic), and reminds us that millions of us (mostly women) live with post-viral chronic conditions.

I have long Covid. Don’t call my chronic disease a ‘journey’
A “journey” is something you choose. No one chooses chronic illness.

My FAVOURITE Twitter post of all time, posted here today by my request/plea so that I can end my university courses this term by reading it to the students as I have many times in the past but I lost my print out of it.

They should hear this every day.

We still have weird amazing shows. Check out Paris Paris on CBC Gem. It’s so hilarious and heartbreaking and very addictive.
I think if Canada wants to have a strong cultural identity we need to go back to doing what we're best at, making the weirdest fucking TV shows you've ever seen

For at least a year, I've been returning to the question, how would you know when it's time to leave the US? For this piece, I asked trans, nonbinary, and genderqueer Americans who, with their families and partners, have recently fled the country, about how they made this decision and how they left.
When Is It Time to Flee?
Trans people and their families are facing hard questions and choices as threats to their safety and rights proliferate.
