Everyone here has had to decide what they will and won’t do. Will you take someone in your house? Will you bring them groceries? Will you patrol streets with a whistle? Will you do some other kind of work, of which there are many. And how many of these types.

Really he just *understood* tech. He knew how systems worked, and could see the straight line that we were on. That's what people really didn't get about him, he knew how the machines worked, and people underestimated him because he was so good at the performance and artistic aspects of what he did.

Moreover, the most critical advantage of the mRNA tech is the speed at which it can be produced. Under a properly functioning regulatory apparatus, when we got surprised with H3N2 subclade K, we could have had an updated vaccine within ~2 months.

It is absolutely outrageous that Moderna’s flu vaccine was met with a “refusal-to-file” even after their approved their protocol with FDA and carried out the trial as agreed. This vaccine works better in older adults than the current flu vaccines.
