Punxsutawney Phil: oh yep, definitely see my shadow, it’s right there

Isaac Chotiner: Sure, that would scare anyone.

PP: yeah, you get me

IC: I’m just curious, did you happen to notice the unusual brightness *before* you left your den?

PP: whoah now hang on a sec
PUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. (AP) — Punxsutawney Phil is said to have seen his shadow, predicting 6 more weeks of winter weather.

Lords of the Files
i think the fairest solution for everyone named in the Epstein files is to just send them all back to the island and never let them leave. and then we send in the wild dogs,

I feel like someone’s gotta say something, so I guess it’s gonna be me: https://youtu.be/h2fv9Yq0i_Q?si=FoeH6R5eTlgqLmXX&t=27
I feel like someone’s gotta say something, so I guess it’s going to be me. I’m 100% certain that I either know, have met, or have sought meetings with people who have done horrible things in their lives, too. How about y’all? Association is not causation, and it's not guilt — of anything. (1/8)

Oh I’m sure I have, my dude! Only, if I did it’s because they had not already been credibly accused of anything remotely approaching pedophilic sex trafficking.

Hope that helps clear things up!

In case you missed it: yesterday I completed my top 100 board
games of all time list.
And this concludes my top 100 of all time. Check it out to see which new game was able to make its first appearance on the list all the way up in the top ten - and how impressively high up it did so.

Once again: there is zero valid reason to put a data center in space. In addition to the launch costs and inability to service them, you need significant cooling infrastructure. The only reason to do this is a) you are an idiot, or b) you are grifting money from idiots.

It may behoove us to start asking our electeds if they’re reluctant to impeach because they are also pedophiles
This Epstein drop is HUGE and utterly disgusting. I don’t see how this man is allowed to remain in office. Where are the evangelical leaders, the soccer moms, the folks stocking up on eggs, the farmers, the small business owners.

Decide. Who are you?

In my headcanon everyone involved in this shares a high five for getting “YES ♥️” on the last bar and goes out for drinks, and then one confectioneer, stumbling home on a dark, windswept night, stops suddenly under a lone streetlight: “Oh.” he says. “Oh, no. What have we done.”

*sucks air through teeth* Man, that's, like, a lot of Horrors. A lot more Horrors than normal. I was led to expect that-- less Horrors, in general, you know? Is there, uh-- a bathroom? No? Oh, this is gonna be bad.

Not only are these not the worst Brett Ratner stories I've heard from folks, they're not even the worst stories I've heard about him licking his fingers on set.
Amazon’s MGM studios spent tens of millions, but the documentary is projected to make just $1M in its first week.

This comes as a new report from Rolling Stone details serious labor issues and two-thirds of the film’s staff requesting not to be credited at the end of the film. trib.al/Clr03cD

This is a good point. When I was in grade school (in the mid-‘80s), half a block from my school was The Center for Parents and Friends of R— Children. Their use of the term was nothing but positive and supporting.

Half a block away, ours was…not. We helped turn it into a slur—by using it AS a slur.
Respectfully, no. I think it's perfectly okay to be ashamed of past behavior even if at the time it was acceptable, or at least tolerated. Also, bluntly, there has never been a time in my life where the "r"-word was not used as a slur, even when it was legitimately used clinically.
I don't use it today and haven't used it in decades, but I don't think it's worth being ashamed about doing so in the past. There was a legit use of the it before it got overwhelmingly corrupted by jerks using it as a slur. I'd rather say I'm proud of what I say now than ashamed of what I said then.

It's pretty wild to expect people who are already skilled in one artistic discipline to somehow become renaissance performers who can master every discipline.

Acting, filming and editing are all disciplines in their own right and it's not fair to expect everyone in the world to have to master them!
I just wish making comics and posting art was enough.

I don’t want to subject my face & voice to public scrutiny for a revolving door of video trends I have to *shoot & edit myself,* & hope that it makes me hashtag-relatable enough to sell a book. I want my book to relate to ppl on its own merit.
As more and more creators are expected to be on camera to promote their comics, can we talk for a second about how this opens up female creators to intense harassment about their looks?

Not to mention a lot of "You only have a career in comics because you're good looking" comments?
