Now. I will not donate or campaign for any current Senate Democrats until he is gone if this vote goes through. And I will not support, in any manner, any senator voting with this bill; I will not perpetuate their relevance to the party if they don't fight this.

Another reason to mask at protests, aside from COVID safety and protection from doxxing, is that a lot of responsible documenters don't want to publish protesters' faces (esp without their consent) right now. Your face being in a shot may prevent people from sharing a worthwhile image publicly.

Why has Dominion Voting Systems been settling defamation lawsuits with Trump allies who falsely claimed the company stole the 2020 election?

Because Dominion has just been bought by a company run by a former GOP election official.

Be warned.

All Americans alike; from every walk of life, every political background, every cultural background and of every age, peacefully protesting this authoritarian power grab from this regime, as the very 1st amendment in our bill of rights allows, now means we're terrorists.

Fuck these people

Yes ultimately many Dem electeds are afraid to give police under their command lawful orders because they think they will not be obeyed and the consequences that fact would have for them and for their state.
impemboganecue.bsky.social
It’s easy to call out Pritzker on this but something darker may be happening here. I’m not sure if he is secretly helping Trump behind the scenes. I think he’s terrified to test whether state police would obey him at all if he used them against the feds

Q: Rescission are something Dems have said is a reason for a lack of trust. What rescissions are you discussing?

JOHNSON: We have more than $37t in debt. We're doing everything we can to get us back to sound fiscal responsibility. What does that include? A rescission package is part of our process

Happening now: we're at the Broadview ICE facility outside Chicago.

CCSO + Broadview police are telling protesters + press they can't stand on the west side of 25th Street for any reason.

We asked what the precise public safety issue is. They just said they're anticipating cars coming through.
jrzgrlnsunshine.bsky.social
They've been doing this at Broadview via Mayor EO, and the feds were pushing the same for Portland.

How hasn't Broadview mayor been sued?

Can someone please explain to me both "free speech zones" and "free speech hours". I don't understand. I thought free speech was allowed 24/7 in all of our country (unless there is a curfew in a broader area, which even still I feel is debatable)

Apropos of nothing in particular this morning, I've been told that, in essence, there are two things that physicians can't do at the White House medical unit: MRIs and surgeries. Virtually anything else can be done there if you have to or want to.

Fairweather federalists: A coalition of MAGA attorneys general file amicus brief supporting Donald Trump's militarization of a sovereigr state and city
Df note: This is not surprising, given some of these same actors supported overturning the election results in states Joe Biden won.

Agreed. But she's been doing this so much more often recently. On this issue, she has been almost human.

If we can get her thinking about what policies, and whatever political party led the masses struggling and barely making it, maybe, just maybe she'll become more moderate 🤞Especially with kids
