Curious how Sophia, (remember a teenager who wasn't on trial), being arrested by EIGHT officers didn't make front page news. She didn't get a supportive statement from the PM or the Free Speech Union for some reason
Here's a thread from Twitter shared with Sophia's permission in which she finally is able to talk about Graham using the police as HIS personal goon squad and getting Sophia arrested at home by EIGHT armed police officers, somewhat putting the standard Heathrow armed cops in perspective.

Fun fact I couldn't mention until now: At the time Graham Linehan was harassing Sophia Brooks online, I was contacted by her former teachers and School Safeguarding Team to get her latest contact details, as they were worried sick about her being publicly stalked by an abusive alcoholic celebrity.

For some reason I've suddenly remembered those two Palestine activists who were convicted of harassment (later overturned on appeal) for filming themselves asking a Labour MP questions about Gaza.
Today I learned that stalking a 17 year old girl, writing up a 400 page 'dossier' about her, falsely reporting her to the police and smashing her phone does not constitute 'harassment'.

One wonders what *would*.

Nov 2025 @rikiwilchins.bsky.social -- Groundbreaking study in journal Pediatrics found that suicidality dropped for transgender youth receiving hormone therapy by nearly 70%, with only 7 patients of 432 (1.6%) discontinuing treatment only 4 of whom re-identified as cisgender.

One of the first things that Orban did in govt was to enact the 2010 Media Law, centralising control over broadcast, print, & online media under a single regulatory body with vast powers.

He then packed it with loyalists & started dictating terms. I imagine that is what will happen in the UK.

We can't have this happen again, but we will, because it was ever thus, and banks are gonna bank, finance is gonna finance
All these tech companies like Meta knew this was a bubble and structured these SPVs to get the equity bump while keeping the risk off the balance sheets. When this scheme eventually implodes, people need to go to prison. We can't have this happen again without consequences.

They're offloading all the debt onto special purpose vehicles (SPV) that are legally distinct entities propped up by promises from meta for decades of demand in compute. The banks take all the risk, Nvidia gets the equity and revenue, Meta gets the stock bump without the downside.

If you have unusual beliefs you *need* the people who question you. If you're suicidal you *need* the people who will tell you to stick around. And we have fucked up our society enough that not everyone has people like that. Not everyone has people at all.

There is only one company experiencing an AI boom - NVIDIA. Nobody else is making profits, or even good revenues. Why are companies still buying GPUs? Has Jensen Huang bullied everybody into preordering for capacity that's years from completion?

Wow, another study, the same results. It's almost like this is, in fact, pretty damn well known science at this point. That astroturfers keep claiming otherwise is lies and nonsense, not facts. Still, every honest study is a useful layer of armor, and data is useful...some really get in the details.

Hey Wes Streeting, some rigorous science for you
1. A landmark study was just published in The Journal of Pediatrics.

It found a 68% reduction in suicidality for trans youth getting HRT.

It also found only 7 of more than 400 stopped taking HRT... and of those that did, 4 still identified as gender-diverse.

Transgender care saves lives.

This one really is useful because you won’t see a more clear demonstration of one of the most damaging political phenomena of the era: the reactionary professional mind rejecting unacceptable reality, only able to process and comprehend it via something close to conspiracy theory.
Former Obama speechwriter Sarah Hurwitz says Jewish students shouldn’t have smartphones until they finish high school — so they don’t see the “carnage” Israel and the U.S. have carried out in Gaza.
