A Black man was killed by ICE (off duty) in Los Angeles on New Year’s Eve. And like Renée Good, he was an American citizen. But most people have not heard about Keith Porter.

I need y’all to realize this. Black people experience this lack of visibility all the time when it comes to being victims.

Good day, #JanuaryWorldbuilders. This week I'm asking q's about the fictional societies in our fantasy/sci-fi worlds. If you write about many societies, pick one you think has an interesting answer, or the MC's society. How are gender roles handled in this world?

Thanks Gabino! #HorrorSky are you in the mood for an unusual slasher novel? Try "Snake," the story of a serial killer hunting mobsters in New York City. Think John Wick, Taken and Friday the 13th got smashed together into a novel. Available in paperback and ebook.

Thanks, Gabino, as always. ON COMICS AND GRIEF combines an examination of the comics of 1976 with creative nonfiction about my mother and my grief at her death. It’s experimental in the way it tries to reimagine both writing about comics and writing about grief. #FridayReads
