Immigrants commit fewer crimes.

Immigrants pay taxes.

Immigrants contribute over $2 trillion to the U.S. economy.

The problem isn't immigrants.

That news article of racist folks in the UK thinking immigration has gone up even when it’s dramatically down reminds me of those surveys in the US showing some white folks thinking the country is 50 percent Black. White supremacy isn’t logical. It’s built on imagination and violence.

The most openly racist, eugenicist monsters are running the U.S. They will use every opportunity to advance their agenda.

And as the wheels come off their regime they will only grow more brutal and obscene. These are dangerous days for us all.

New WP: “University as a Melting Pot: Long-term Effects of Internationalization”

Debates on international students often focus on capacity constraints, funding, or competition.

In the paper, I show that the main effects of internationalization on natives are not academic or economic, but social.

#MapleMAGA has the benefit of hindsight. A live-action example south of the border showing exactly where their ideas lead. This makes them even less excusable than the Americans who supported Trump and now regret it.

Never forget who did this, who supported it, and what motivated them: racism.
Still reeling from the Stanford report on Brexit. Reduced GDP by up to 8% and investment by as much as 18%. The UK Treasury would have £40 billion more each year if Britain had remained in the EU. Devastating self-immolation.

Lazy, ideology-driven austerity budgets are a highly effective way to make bad economies worse while weakening cities, provinces/states and nations.

They can be debilitating, life-limiting, deadly.

They can severely impact someone’s ability to live independently, work, and function.

And no, you can’t always easily tell.
