It’s totally delicate. like “band mass” (in a place where that’s very much not what we’re good at!) or “being relevant” come from a feeling of wanting to appeal to their kids at the time they left the church, rather than meeting the needs of new Christians and seekers who *are* coming through now

She still refuses to have communion brought to her - she’s going up the steps and KNEELING at the altar rail! We had to forcibly retire her from sacristan at 100 - is there a force of nature stronger than old Anglican ladies formed by literally a century of liturgy and prayer?
