it is not shameful to wear a respirator. frankly, it should be far more shameful to not take simple steps to prevent needless infection to community members. is keeping each other safe not the point?

we should take all their money. not joking. these guys are completely incompatible with democracy. there’s no reason we have to tolerate them with any kind of power. take their money and give them a garbage route so they can be useful to society for the first time in their life. otherwise, prison
The VCs bros have convinced themselves they are on some moral crusade. They will be behind the scenes trying to cling to power in the midterms and beyond.

Side note, they are also the biggest bunch of dorks

Because they are invested in the armed management of inequality, which policing was designed to do, and which continues to benefit them materially.
Question for the crowd:

Why do you think moderates, liberals, and other folks are scared or have an aversion to the word “abolish”?

Voting NO on the DHS funding bill is the bare minimum.

Backing Kristi Noem’s impeachment is the bare minimum.

Holding law-breaking ICE agents legally accountable is the bare minimum.

ICE is beyond reform. Abolish it.

There is going to come a time in your life when you are chatting with a guy, at a barbecue or something, a new coworker maybe, a dad at school drop off, and he tells you he used to be in ICE. You’re going to need to spit on that guy

If you're in central Texas & you have room to house a shelter dog in a spare room Friday - Mon/Tues, area shelters would love your help getting dogs out of outdoor kennels and into homes for a brief break. You don't have to do a lot with them, just let them decompress while we wait out the weather.

Blaming vaccines is easier because it feels like it’s something controllable. Covid is airborne and this is a much more concerning reality. There is no need to panic, we have the science to prevent. Problems can only be fixed however, when we are able to talk about them.

#TalkAboutCovid
What we are seeing now is just the tip of the iceberg. The focus on blaming the vaccines instead of the virus will only continue to make things worse. Condemning a whole generation that has not even born yet.

It’s unmistakable how much the way institutions treat lying federal officials is the same way they treat lying abusers and predators. Even when they contradict themselves, admit to wrongdoing, and repeatedly undermine their own credibility, institutions support their side over their victims.

I keep seeing people asking why the police aren't arresting ICE or protecting people from ICE and I desperately need you to understand that the police aren't protecting you from ICE because protecting YOU is not and never has been their function and that's why we need to defund them.
