Cats mostly.
That's a good price for 12 pounds of nutmeg.
what's the stupidest/randomest Simpsons quote that lives in your head rent free? Mine is the urge to say "you said go to bread" every time I am about to head to bed.

As someone who repeatedly breaks bones, this is a very promising development.
⚠️ Chinese researchers have invented bone glue that mimics how oysters stick to surfaces underwater.

The adhesive can reportedly repair orthopedic fractures in 2-3 minutes, even in blood-rich environments, and is bioabsorbable.

Chopin fucking rules and I would 100% go to watch this.
Chopin piano competition opens with 84 participants, including five Canadians hoping to find the same success as previous winner Bruce Liu from Montreal.

The Canadians are Kevin Chen, Athena Deng, Eric Guo, Ryan Wang and Victoria Wong.

I think I had food poisoning last night/this morning but I can't point to anything super dodgy that I ate. Frozen pizza? My body also just might be punishing me for eating trash.

Anthony Keidis in Point Break is the only acceptable answer.
New question for the class: what are your favorite appearances by a musical artist in a film or TV show? Playing live, acting role, whatever. Whaddya got?

A really great thing about being friends with your ex is that when you need a cat sitter, they're happy to help out. My parents are meant to feed them every day, but the ex has also offered to just come hang with them in the evenings (which makes all of us happy).

This seems fun, in no particular order:

cats
bicycles
climbing (rock, ice, alpine)
camping
road trips
electronic music
90s skate punk
philosophy
anthropology
cephalopods
pilsners
comfort foods
alone time
carbonated water
Fuck your complaints. What’s something you love?

The Potato Museum in Blackfoot, Idaho. It was the inspiration for our road trip and did not disappoint. This year we're going to the taxidermied gopher museum in Torrington, AB. It's apparently an unhinged delight.
what is the most unique museum u have visited
for me possibly the ramen museum
more museums should provide fries at the end tbh

This fucking enrages me.

I have no love for Parks Canada’s overly bureaucratic way of dealing with everything, but they are not the bad guys here.

The government that denies climate change and actively supports oil and gas has a way bigger role in what happened.

I’m not sure why any politician would agree to any of this outside of grift. No one wins except FIFA. Why help those deplorables?
"FIFA’s agreement with the City of Vancouver requires that businesses around BC Place stadium remove or cover up their signs"

Does the city have any legal authority to force businesses to do that?

If 25% of the population is disabled, that usually means the problem is in the definition, not the people.

Or, I'll go one step further. Disability, as currently constructed, is a symptom of a profoundly sick economic/social system. We don't need to medicalize things that aren't medical issues.
Does the person in this pic look disabled to you?

That question shouldn’t be asked.

More than any other ‘group protected from discrimination’, people with disabilities are most misunderstood — and while 1 in 4 of us is disabled (did you know that?), half of all police murder victims are disabled.
