kind of weird to see everyone get excited them adding a battlepass system and "content seasons" with "limited time events" to eso. this is literally nothing but a way to inflate your playtime with a grind and a way for them to monetise the crippling fomo that afflicts all mmo players.

my grandfather was the one who liked christmas. he would decorate the house and the tree, and i loved helping when i was little. he died when i was seven, and the holiday ceased in my family beyond us gathering together and having dinner. we stopped decorating and grandmother said no more gifts.

this is a thread about challenging yourself with reading (i don't struggle with this), but i wanted to highlight this one because one of my big projects throughout this year was to keep challenging myself with the things that i listen to (something i struggled with).
it has been so very worth it.

ceiling had a serious leak this morning that flooded my bathroom and one of my friends got annoyed at me for being excited about something again, which reinforces the idea that i should never share anything i like with anyone. not a great time for my therapist to be on vacation, really.

I know it's a tad early but I know those bitches with the buckets will be out soon. Don't gove them a penny. The volunteers may not know but the salvation army is no ally and actively combative and harmful to many queer minorities especially during the holiday season

one of the things i enjoyed about anno games in the past was how beautiful they were, and how much love and care the team clearly put into every tiny asset -- even the ones many players don't notice. i noticed. my friends noticed. we loved it!
