I should do an intro! My name is Kimberly and I love cinema, film in all of it’s forms and especially horror. I love it so much that I have a podcast and you might find me in the credits of some of the movies you watch. I also love books and art in general including the people who make them.

This is the technology that Mark Carney thinks is good enough to replace thousands of federal civil servants.
That really is fair lol. I can’t shake him as Billy. (I love Toy Soldiers!)
He’s looking more and more like Patty 😁
Oh, did it? 🤔
Finally, some kind of good news. I’ll take it!

Bluesky isn't a place where trolls come to get mocked and insulted. They love that.

Bluesky is a place where trolls come to be blocked and isolated and ignored — which they hate.

If you're seeing a lot of shitty people in your feed, you aren't blocking enough people.
Lot of bigots showing up. Remember, don't interact. Just report and block block block.

“AI isn’t magic; it’s a pyramid scheme of human labor,” said Adio Dinika, a researcher at the Distributed AI Research Institute…These raters are the middle rung: invisible, essential and expendable.”

In order to eat all the bones, it requires all the teeth.
The joy that this vinyl art brings me, I can’t even tell you! Btw if you haven’t seen The Deadly Spawn…it’s time 😌 #horror #vinyl
What a day…#filmsky

Remember: there's no audience for AI-produced content. Nobody in the AI ecosystem is there to read or listen - only to publish their own slop.
The real pitch, of course, isn't to consume the slop, but to join the exalted ranks of slop producers. The typical slop middleman makes an "AI company" - they run the gamut from Grammarly to Synthetic Users - and resells the processed slop with the same pitch: you too can now make slop.
I need just a little horror to start my day! #horrorsky #vinyl
Yes! This thing has had some heavy wear. I love it!
Man, that’s depressing.
Same. Every single day, I’m stunned. It happened so slowly, over such a long period of time, I guess I didn’t realize.
It’s gotta be some kind of greed that regular people cannot even begin to fathom. It’s not enough that they have all the money but they want to extract all of our labor too.

Us musicians weren’t told we’re lazy. We were told that we don’t actually enjoy the process of conceptualizing, composing, sound-designing, recording, and ultimately releasing music let alone learning and practicing an instrument.
Also a very insane thing so say. They really are trying to convince us that a prompt is, at least, equal to a lifetime of study, practice and skill. And we’re just supposed to accept it.
It’s very bizarre and it feels like we’re living in an alternate reality sometimes.
And in the case of authors, read all of their work. Stealing is easy in comparison. Get a grip.
There’s nothing lazy about screening all the movies of someone’s filmography, contacting them, coordinating and recording the episode. Then editing up to twelve hours of audio and clipping for social media to get an audience. That doesn’t include the synopses and reviews I write of all those movies.
Starting to regret inventing the podcast
Age verification? I remember when my state (Tx) had a female, Democrat governor.
