And since fighting it on all fronts means we need all hands on deck, that means we can't risk having our own key players making concessions to the fascism.

We draw a line and defend it. We make them fight for every inch they want to take. Even if that inch only affects 1% of people.

And if we let the democrats with all the resources (as opposed to those of us without) keep fumbling the ball into the wrong goal then we'll end up with the GOP in power anyway.

You have to fight all of fascism because each tendril you aren't dealing with makes the other ones harder to beat.

I just realized (possibly not for the first time) that one of the reasons it's so easy to con career executives into going all-in on AI is that it strongly plays into their belief that The Idea Guy is the source of all the value and not the people with the ability to make the idea actually happen.

But it is an action we need to actively discourage because if it keeps happening it will continue damage the coalition that we need to have unified for this fight.

A major player tacking right on a minority group causes infighting we can't afford.

Bro Newsom has said that we should be more willing to consider the bigoted policies that Mace is (and Kirk was) proposing.

They aren't a separate criticism.

Your criticism of Mace rings hollow if you aren't also criticizing the Democrats trying to make concessions to her.

And I'm sure Newsom hedging and suggesting that small injustices against trans people are fine and we should be more willing to accept them will strengthen the case that bigotry towards trans people is categorically wrong.

He's trying to find common ground with Bannon but not part of his own base.

I'm talking about all of the subgroups of our voter base, but I'm not directing criticism at you specifically, just expressing a guiding principle we need.

Leaving any group behind is dividing us more than any amount of critiquing a particular candidate.

We need a united front against fascism.

It's amazing how the people who are constantly trying to hack chunks off of the base are constantly accusing other people of dividing rather than uniting.

They should at least have the decency to put down the axe before complaining about all the axe-shaped breaks in the coalition.

Follow up: If you truly believe it's a necessary sacrifice why aren't you volunteering to be the sacrifice? Why are you only offering up someone else?

If it's so critical then you could at least trade places with one terrified trans person to save them while you make the noble necessary sacrifice.
