I’m very sorry to announce this to the rest of the country & the world, but a transitional logo has been chosen for the 2034 Salt Lake City Olympics & this is it. Why does it say Utah? We don’t know. Why is the font illegible? Yet another mystery. Did they go ugly on purpose? Again, no idea.
A logo reads “UTAH 2034” in an indescribable custom font. The letters look like a boomerang whelped a pack of bastard children with a Lincoln Log? I’m hoping there will be a better description in the comments. The Olympic rings & Paralympic logo are above & below the words.

Criminal No. 1:25-cr-00272-MSN OPINION AND ORDER GRANTING MOTION TO DISMISS INDICTMENT ECF NO. 60) On September 25, 2025, Lindsey Halligan, a former White House aide with no prior prosecutorial experience, appeared before a federal grand jury in the Eastern District of Virginia. Having been appointed Interim U.S. Attorney by the Attorney General just days before, Ms. Halligan secured a two-count indictment charging former FBI Director James B. Comey, Jr. with making false statements to Congress and obstructing a congressional proceeding. Mr. Comey now moves to dismiss the indictment on the ground that Ms. Halligan, the sole prosecutor who presented the case to the grand jury, was unlawfully appointed in violation of 28 U.S.C. § 546 and the Constitution's Appointments Clause. Incredible footage has been captured of seals hauntingly singing in a cave in west Wales.... This is believed to be a world first where seals have been recorded singing in harmony.

my unpopular Thanksgiving food opinion: I don't like sweet breads in stuffing

cornbread stuffing is not my fav for that reason, but I can weed out cornbread stuffing recipes pretty easily. but even after I do I keep finding recipes for stuffing that call for brioche or challah or even panettone. ?

Tormented and Gunslinger are both fairly competent genre pictures with some good moments and good performances (and some bad ones). Kitten with a Whip and Touch of Satan are both genuinely disturbing at times, to the point that I don't actually enjoy watching the MST3K versions very much.

Which MST3K movie was actually the best *movie*? Which one has the most non-ironic fans and defenders.

Danger: Diabolique comes to mind (though certainly not the best of the Diabolique films). This Island Earth as well, since they had to pick something a bit more palatable for the theatrical film.
