A well-balanced society should contain a roughly equal amount of 808- and 909-based music. When there is an excess of music made with 909s, tensions and unpredictability will rise, while in periods of excessive 808 prevalence, that society will experience widespread complacency.

Everytime I see Vertexer pop up on my feed I drop everything. The sheer spectacle with clever scaling backgrounds: racing down through orbital reentry? Why not just loop through the ocean for a chaser and then have your space-car purge its armor to become Literally Pole Position for the finish line?
After 9 months here's another video of the cancelled TAITO racing game 'VERTEXER' in HD. No ROM available, so probably the player have one of the only PCBs in existence or have access to it. Still is great to see more footage in high quality of this game. youtu.be/I6ZHunXVSrA?...

"actually his stuff was very Derivative and not Original" like, you don't have to do this. it is good for us all to sit with the cognitive dissonance that a very bad person can make very good art. it is good for us to work through the moral ramifications of that.

pinnacle of enshittification capitalism right here. if they can't think of novel ways to break it and then fix it ("improvements") then it just gets deprecated. no matter if it's popular or not!
Called and spoke with Adobe customer support and the guy told me Adobe is discontinuing Animate because apparently the company can't think of any new features to add to the program and they feel it's gotten stale.

So they're just GETTING RID OF IT???

Worth remembering that something did happen: the journalist who revealed this died from a car bomb.
remember when the panama papers came out and we found out every rich person on earth was committing tax fraud and then nothing happened

People really underestimate just how fucking cool Tetsuo Hara actually is. He is almost blind and it is about as effective against his drawing as a wet napkin against Kenshiro's iron chest. He funds children's hospitals. He said AI will never win because it can't be prepared to die like a human.
Tetsuo Hara drew these to commemorate his having filed his tax return using his smartphone. Notice how he drew both of these on the same day despite no longer really being able to see particularly well. Stuff like this makes me even more irate that the upcoming TV series will be in crap looking 3DCG

my only notes to people under 30: your 30s aren't for ditching fandom, they're for re-evaluating all the "cringe" stuff you liked as a teenager through the lens of someone who can appreciate it fully, going, "that owned, actually," and becoming even more unhinged about it. please look forward to it.

But you see, these AREN’T the only 7 Democrats who supported giving ICE more money. The Democrats OVERALL support it. These 7 are just the latest rotating villains selected to take the fall while the rest pretend to oppose to fundraise. That’s why it’s always EXACTLY enough Dem support votes to pass
these are the 7 house democrats who voted to give ICE another $10 billion on thursday btw
