It doesn't take a genius to see that it was a huge mistake not assisting Ukraine in the aftermath of 2014.
I'd have more respect if they actually did something with this obvious hindsight, and actively worked to impact the things they can impact now, in 2026.

There is massive demand for AI detectors. At work we are frequently asked why we haven't turned AI-detection on in our systems.
But the reason why we haven't is that it does not work and penalising students using a tool that doesn't work would be absolutely immoral.

"AI detectors" are themselves AI, and yet are endlessly trusted by people on here if they say that a newspaper article is AI.
AI detectors are snake oil. None of them reliably works. And UK broadsheet are not yet using AI to write articles. No, that link to the deal you found doesn't prove it.

What does he think the UK did to Grok? Ofcom (wrongly) found it didn't have the power to investigate Grok , and the ICO eventually opened an investigation into xAI for misusing personal data two weeks ago. Nothing has actually happened, though.
