E-commerce in Canada ONLY EXISTS because of Canada Post. Without it, everyone is paying a private US shipping company to send everything through a parcel service.

I can ship a book via oversized letter mail from Calgary to Halifax for $4.44. Do you think UPS would ship it that cheap? No. It's $15. And that money goes to America.
