my measured conclusion upon review of the Supreme Court's order reimposing Texas's racially gerrymander is that the only thing the Republican justices hate more than district court judges is people of color voting

The Supreme Court Wants Republicans to Keep the House In 2026
A federal district court found that Texas Republicans’ redistricting proposal is an illegal racial gerrymander. The conservative justices couldn't care less.

You may see people advising you to grab WB-owned titles on physical media and you may wonder if this is overreacting.

It isn't. Movie studios have always put preservation and convenient availability last, outright junking films that they no longer value.

Being a movie fan is rife with stress.

The USPS posting a NINE BILLION DOLLAR LOSS!!! sounds terrible. Certainly worse than if you said "USPS costs thirty dollars per person per year" even though that means the same thing and more accurately describes a government service

How many war crimes do you think Tom has gotten away with?

Dead-eyed psychopath.
BERMAN: Would it be legal for police in Arkansas to kill suspected drug dealers on a boat in a lake?

TOM COTTON: The premise of your question is not well-founded

BERMAN: The answer is no. It would not be legal to kill them.

An easy formula for public comment
- who are you and why are you here?
- what's your standing on the issue (how does it affect you/why should they listen to you)?
- what's the problem as you see it
- why it matters
- what you need them to do
- why they need to do it
- thank you
THIS. Testify at city council committee meetings.
I really can't emphasize enough that if you care about local politics, all you gotta do is show up. Just a regular schmegular person showing up. Literally just show up consistently in person and within a remarkably short amount of time, you will have a shocking amount of influence.

If we do make it to the other side of this, excoriate any politician who doesn't call for the abolition of ICE and a full tribunal. Inaction = complicity.

A new Amnesty International report on Florida's Everglades Detention Facility and Krome North Service Processing Center documents extensive human rights violations that, in some cases, amount to torture.

State-sanctioned torture of our neighbors.

It’s so grimly comical how she has precisely one (1) bit and her virtually the entirety of her rise to fame and success has been predicated on everyone with money, power and influence acting as though they are too stupid to figure out what the bit is and how it works. Just pathetic.
Bari Weiss has a CBS town hall set with Erika Kirk, widow of Charlie Kirk.

If you want to attend, you're asked a series of questions on an online form.

The first question is: “Do you consider yourself a conservative? If so, why?”

What are we doing here folks
My employer, Dartmouth College, today boasts it's 1st Ivy "to launch AI at an institutional scale." It is doing this by partnering--"more than a collaboration"--with Anthropic, a company that stole the books of many faculty, me included, which many of us are suing.

Even if this was true--and I question the premise that there are a lot of Jewish Americans who don't know what the Jordan River is--this kind of condescending "if you think murder is wrong name five of their albums" stuff is exactly why they lost the kids
Hillary Clinton sassing off "young Jewish Americans who don't know their own history" in a way that is disgustingly antisemitic. "They say from the river to the sea...they don't even know which river and which sea!" Fuck off.

Same here. No misty nostalgia for Mike Jr. as he looks wistfully out of a window, sips a mug of coffee, and gently taps his foot to "Legalise Drugs and Murder" by Electric Wizard.
I have no children so sadly there will never be any "Today I'm going to listen to a record from my late father's record collection" videos where the child plops on an album by Cheetah Chrome Motherfuckers, Feedtime, Righteous Pigs, or Venom.

Who Shares the Restroom Code with ICE Agents? (3rd printing)
This collection of questions is an invitation to think about situations we may encounter with ICE, a poetic rant against ICE, and a provocation for ICE’s allies.

The GOP is just generally on board with murder, as long as it’s not an embryo or a rich white person. Everyone else can get fucked. Monsters from top to bottom.
Important to remember that the GOP is still largely on board with the overall premise of the murders

For years I've told people our family was so big, our christmas turkey had to be cooked by nuns.

In reality, the nuns replaced that turkey with one the size of a hatchback. I swear one year it came stuffed with a cooked ham.
