Sometimes I type replies that my first thoughts think are good ideas.

We now learn that Fifa had a very specific "ask" in exchange for its "Peace Award" to Trump, with loads of gold trinkets, and that was dismissal of a criminal corruption case against senior Fifa officials. And Trump granted it. Another corrupt bargain, barely noticed (and ignored by US media).

Day after getting my COVID and flu vaccines and the Soreness has begun.
Obviously it's better to deal with a day or two of my immune system freaking out and trying to murder everything in a paranoid frenzy than getting a hard case of COVID but still. Owie. Moving hurts.

This is also why several western states are the shapes they are - There was a fight prior to the Civil War where both pro- and anti-slavery sides were adding new states to the Union in equal numbers (to keep the Senate balanced), so sliced up territories to fit the compromise lines they'd made up.
