I had an intervention free birth with my second kiddo, at home as planned. I had a postpartum hemorrhage and my midwife had drugs and training to save my life without me even knowing I was in danger.
To be clear: certified nurse-midwives who assist with home births and aren't quacks will bring meds with them to help stop post-partum hemorrhage. Lay midwives, doulas, and free-birth assistants usually are not legally allowed to administer meds. If you're considering home birth - ASK ABOUT THIS.

I called today to tell him how absolutely worthless HSA’s are when you don’t have insurance.
I’ll call tomorrow to tell him that knowing the price doesn’t equal competition when it’s half a day’s drive to the hospital.

I can't stop thinking about the purported drug smugglers being murdered by the US military. The punishment for drug offenses isn't the death penalty. This is just bloodlust and men in suits playing with lives they don't care about. It's truly grotesque and gravely compromises this country.
