Every Elected Republican wants this. Because it would take less than a handful of them to vote against the White House and it would stop.

But they *want* this
On Thanksgiving, the immigrant children held at the Dilley detention center gathered in the gym for what they thought was a holiday feast.

The kids salivated over a spread of turkey, sandwiches, pastries and pies, a family told me.

But the food wasn’t for detainees — it was for the staff.

Epstein Barr has also been proven to be a cause of MS, as well as lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, some lymphomas and stomach cancers. I was never symptomatic for EB but my mother had it, and now I have MS. Someone is working on an mRNA vaccine that could effectively stop MS entirely too

If Moderna is no longer bringing vaccine trials for Epstein-Barr virus (good evidence that EB causes Multiple Sclerosis), herpes, and shingles because of Trump appointees, I want prison time for those appointees.

This might be dooming millions to disease they don’t have to experience.

Willingness and eagerness to abuse and humiliate others is central to everything this administration does. Like @adamserwer.bsky.social said: the cruelty is the point
The lawsuit out of Tacoma, WA is really, really disturbing.

Wisconsin needs to bookmark this for 2028. Get back to being the state of Russ Feingold and put Johnson out to pasture.
Ron Johnson to Keith Ellison: "Two people are dead because you encouraged them to put themselves into harm's way! And now you are exploiting those two martyrs. You ought to feel damn guilty about it. Yeah, sit there and smirk. Smirk. It's sick! It's despicable. You disgust me."

These laws, of course, are deliberately vague so that school officials will err on the side of censorship, in order to protect the institution and themselves.
Update: FAMU says banning the word Black from a law student’s Black History Month flyer was a mistake, and the result of an “overly cautious interpretation” of Florida law

A Florida A&M University law student says the school told her to remove the word 'Black' from a Black History Month event flyer. The school says it is in full compliance with state law

easy slogan for the next democratic presidential candidate is “i will reform the corrupt supreme court and repeal citizens united”
“When Citizens United was decided in 2010, billionaires had spent $18 million on the 2000 election, $13M 2004 and $16M in 2008. Then came the deluge. In 2012 it was $231M, and nearly doubled again in next three election cycles —to $682M in 2016, $1.2 billion in 2020 and $2.6 billion in 2024.” Gift:

People can have different political opinions about immigration policy. Political differences are fine, healthy for a democracy.

But if you’re okay with this, that’s not a political opinion. That is a moral failing.

To the extent this is true at all, Trump reported Epstein out of self-preservation before the police knocked on his door.Hhe heard the investigation was underway and knifed his buddy. He didn't care when it was a secret and he didn't care when the spotlight faded and he thought he was in the clear.
People are running with this story as Trump did some noble thing. He reported him because he was pissed off he stole a minor who was working at Mar a Lago, then Trump denied knowing anything for another two decades

I love that smart people can explain the feeling I had when I saw the little kid dozing in the corner of the wedding.
2. He celebrated his love for his culture in a way that was so recognizable to other communities. What is it people say about art, that the most specific details are often the most universal because we respond to the emotions they evoke on a human level. The performance was full of those moments

This would be terrifying if control was actually going to come down to a small number of closer races. But it’s not, and nobody frothing into a panic over it will internalize that load bearing part of the speculation.
