extremely cringe early 2000s youth group-looking poster, gray background with aggressive black and white text of all different sizes (chaotic. terrible design). The header reads “DO YOU SERIOUSLY THINK GOD CAN’T USE YOU?” and it WAS followed by a list of Bible figures with their various “faults.” I have very poorly photoshopped in some corrections. We needed 125 boxes for mutual aid work with less than 24 hours' notice & no budget.

We put an ask out to some neighbors and a caravan of helpers brought 125+ boxes to us yesterday (this is only a fraction of them).

It's titled "Melt the ICE Hat" and it's by YarnCultMN n the 1940’s, Norwegians made and wore red pointed hats with a tassel as a form of visual protest against Nazi occupation of their country. Within two years, the Nazis made these protest hats illegal and punishable by law to wear, make, or distribute. As purveyors of traditional craft, we felt it appropriate to revisit this design. The sample shown was knit in Blue Sky Fibers Skyland for the DK version. All proceeds from the sale of this pattern go to the LynLake community of businesses who will distribute the funds to those impacted by the actions of ICE.

I keep seeing people asking why the police aren't arresting ICE or protecting people from ICE and I desperately need you to understand that the police aren't protecting you from ICE because protecting YOU is not and never has been their function and that's why we need to defund them.
