bro there’s a gofundme to crowdfund attorney fees for a preschooler who was kidnapped by our federal government and shipped across state lines and his senator is posting about high school hockey while every other elected official is debating whether to give a zillion more dollars to the kidnappers

This guy went to work today, put a mask on, kidnapped a 5 year old child, and then used him as bait so both he and his father could be sent behind bars

How do you think you’ll feel when the paramilitary drives by your kid’s elementary school in a show of force? I hope you never have to find out.

I'm sorry, abolishing ICE is now off the table as the centrist compromise.

The floor is now The Hague.

The crimes-- against law, but more importantly, against humanity-- are just too overt, too well-known, too well-publicized.

This nation is going to have to look itself in the mirror in some very difficult ways, and that process will have to be formalized.

Our city has been over-run by Nazi ghouls kidnapping people to traffic them to concentration camps and other countries.
Did you ever think you'd see the day when masked gunmen jump out of moving vehicles and chase families down the street in your own neighborhood?
FUCK ICE forever and ever.

There is one word in the English language that explains what Minneapolis is experiencing right now: tyranny.

We are under assault by a tyrannical government and its little jackbooted commandant. We are going to keep fighting, and we will win, stand with us.

This is the specific question every Republican should be asked.

“How can you justify armed government agents abducting a 5 year old and shipping him 1500 miles away?”

Also, if you work for ICE you are an evil person. You don't do this ⬇️ unless you are evil.

the idea of not issuing a warrant simply because you cannot serve it is insane on its face. it has never been the standard, and should not be.

i am not even a lawyer. i know you can indict this guy. you know how i know that? because i know how grand juries work. i know that you can convince 20 people that he probably did it. this is because there are pictures of him doing it.

we are drowning in lawyers who just want to give up if they don't have the overwhelming advantage they ordinarily do against civilians. i don't care about your conviction rate. indict the person who commits the very bad crime on camera in the public eye

I hope these men are put on trial. But we deserve more: we need truth and reconciliation. That is the only way to rebuild a just society. The sickness this man and his fellow fascists embrace runs deep for millions of people -- and the violence they are inflicting will last for generations.

the local DA should indict it. if they cannot serve the warrant because ICE has more men with guns, they should say so.
That is an ICE agent pepper spraying a restrained victim in the face at close quarters; it's an unquestionable and indefensibly abusive use of excessive force that should (but won't) be criminally prosecuted as assault

I would argue that the case for dismantling ICE has, at this point, virtually nothing to do with larger questions of immigration enforcement and reform, it's just clearly incompatible with a free and democratic society to maintain a secret police force with sweeping and arbitrary authority.
Senator Gallego weighs in as well. Note that at the start of 2025 he was considered a *moderate* on immigration and co-sponsored the Laken Riley Act. Him and many other Dems have been increasingly horrified at what ICE is doing and shifted away from a "more enforcement" focus.

they should invent an open-world game that guilt-trips you for exploring it. “glad you had fun taking pictures of shrubs, link; ganon has a scoreboard of how many people he killed in the last week”
games almost never manage the illusion of time well, in fairness, see Baldur's Gate 3.
