"[RFK jr.] may as well have shot the bullets himself [...] and I hold him and his colleagues personally responsible for that violence and the death of that officer", says Daskalakis.
Their rhetoric dehumanizing people who do public health created the environment that led to the attack, he says.

Daskalakis says that for him the lasting memory of 2025 will be the attack on the CDC on August 8, during which the police officer David Rose was killed.
"That was one of my moments where I was like, we've crossed a threshold."
And he does not mince words about who he sees as responsible: RFK jr.

jesus the Palm Beach Police really sought arrest warrants against underage Epstein victims for coming forward and cooperating, and (purported) admitting to crimes, and it caused the victims to become uncooperative with the federal investigation

oy, 🫣some of the 2007 federal grand jury testimony indicates that girls who came forward to Palm Beach Police c.2005 were told that *they* could be charged with sex trafficking because of their participation in Epstein & Maxwell's scheme to offer schoolmates money to come to Epstein's house

Dude did a fake presidential run to build interest in a media company, accidentally became the president, accidentally committed a bunch of crimes because he's stupid, then had to try to become the president a second time so he wouldn't go to jail and it worked
a) this is pathetic regime shit from CBS.

b) this is genuinely his dream, he would so much rather be a TV host than president.

To the Ellisons, $8B for the chance to censor CBS reports about atrocious Trump regime actions is a good deal.

To Elon Musk (and the Saudis), $44B to censor and manipulate Twitter is worth it.

They don't need profits from media properties. For them, money long ago crossed the threshold into power.

The Hunter Biden laptop story has not been "verified" TO THIS DAY. Republicans came into possession of some of Hunter Biden's data, that much is true. But that cockamamie story about how they came from an abandoned laptop left at a Republican operative's computer repair shop? Be real.
Yet not a word about "dogshit" when Lesley Stahl lied to Trump's face about the Hunter Biden laptop to help Biden in the 2020 election. If you didn't call that out back then, we don't give a shit what you have to say about Weiss now.

The whole idea that Weiss spiked the CECOT story because there wasn't an on-the-record statement from the Trump administration is laughable, as Sharyn Alfonsi notes. It's regular journalistic practice to run a story without comment, as long as you've given the source a chance, which 60 Minutes did.
