CW: protester being struck in the head by a pepper ball
Footage I took earlier of the moment Reverend David Black, a regular protester outside of the Broadview Detention Center, was shot in the head with a pepper ball by ICE agents on the roof of the facility.
CPD officers are not in riot gear or gas masks. Not interacting with the crowd except to form a barrier between the feds and locals. Behind CPD, federal agents form a huddle near their armored vehicle.
I feel like there are many machines that deserve to be yelled at (cars, printers, the freezer drawer) but also that maybe it's a bad idea to develop muscle memory denigrating something that pretends to be human
