there was never gonna be restraint, buddy

they just tricked you
Rubio's Munich speech took a big leap AWAY from Restraint, imo. Restraint requires the US to adopt a narrower definition of national interest to better prioritize what actually matters - not expanding it "Western civilizatioon"...

One way to identify right-wing dominance of the US media environment: This is much more direct, egregious government censorship than the biggest claims of the “Twitter Files”—including ones they made up that had no evidence behind them—and will get a small fraction of the attention and outrage.

honestly my priors for rating a democratic elected is (1) how much they hate republicans and (2) if they're good soldiers, whether they are more ideological moderate or liberal is secondary

He really is the weakest senator there is. Two people have been murdered, there’s been no accountability, and he believes the Senate is powerless. He believes Trump gets what Trump wants.

Well, I’m reassured that components of DHS should be blazing away at the sky with anti-drone lasers.
Q: Can you confirm that CBP actually hit a party balloon it thought was a drone with a laser? And why wasn't that coordinated with the FAA?

KRISTI NOEM: You know, this was a joint agency task force, um, mission that was undertaken. And um, we're continuing to work on communication

would love to hear AOC talk about where and why Bidenism failed both abroad and at home, and how she thinks we can do different
this is lowkey the posturing of bidenism abroad

Trump has a few sincerely held beliefs:

1) Cats is the height of musical theater
2) Racism
3) Tariffs are very good and strong

Not sure why Tillis feels he needs to play this game anymore.
Right now at Munich Security Conference, Thom Tillis is desperately trying to blame tariffs on Trump’s staff and FP’s Ravi Agrawal is saying he’s “gobsmacked” by that claim.

Good stuff here.
AOC: "I think we have to recognize that we are in a new day and in a new time. But that does not mean that the majority of Americans are ready to walk away from a rules-based order, and that we're ready to walk away from our commitment to democracy."
