Please read this long but important thread from an immigration defense attorney.

If this administration is permitted to scale its current abuse, neglect, and inhumane treatment of immigrants to the breadth and scope for which they’re currently planning, we’ll all be witness to mass atrocities.
I don’t really know what I expect in posting this, but maybe some people see it and can learn from it.

I’ll call it “lessons from an unwilling immigration attorney.”

No bastard ever won a war by dying for his multicultural economic zone. He won it by making the other poor dumb bastard die for his autarkic ethnostate.
“You’re gonna die for a ‘multicultural economic zone?’”

“Someone is.”
Also, here’s a photo of people dying to defend a “multicultural economic zone”

Maybe you know the Japanese word “Baka (馬鹿)”, which means “fool, idiot”. It’s derived from Sanskrit words, moha(fool) or mahallaka (ignorant).
Though its Kanji means horse (馬) and deer (鹿) , they are just phonetic equivalent characters for the loanword. I feel sorry for horses and deer.

I think it also has to do with something I know a lot of trans gals have experienced in intimacy after figuring out they're lesbos or bi is that when you're divorced from the societal gender expectations of what comes from what The Role a Woman must play in intimacy it is very powerful to cut loose
i think the prevalence of yuri/GL artists drawing kiss and bite marks all over women in their pairing art is connected to the idea that whole body intimacy really turns your whole skin as a sensory organ into an erogenous zone when you're so in love that you want to eat and be eaten

and people wonder why everyone feels bad about “the economy”

yes i’ve been fuming about this shit all day, shut up. economists are like “why do people think they’re worse off” and not realise that it’s probably because nearly everything is a scam now and nobody wants to find out how it falls apart
The pace at which US wealth concentration is rising is simply staggering

The concentration of AI wealth into the hands of a few tech barons + plutocratic capture ==> unchartered territory

Really really nasty article. The closest it comes to actually describing Pepys's sexual violence are the euphemistic "licentious episodes" and "sexual behaviour", which might indicate a degree of embarrassment on the part of the author if I didn't think the whole thing was in entirely bad faith

I’ll admit that in the early days of Woke 1, I found some of the Singalesque views of gender-affirming care at least plausible. But then it became increasingly clear that for all their talk, the TERFs actually did not support gender nonconformity, either.
I don't think the Cass review is as bad as some think, it had been wildly oversold by GCs, but I do think a lot of the flaws originate in the view Cass articulates in this interview, namely that most trans people aren't actually trans, and that they are just gender non-conforming.

Our nurses at NYP Presby Hospital are still on strike today!
6 weeks on Monday.
The hospital is a disaster without them.
Contact NYPH heads, CEOs, tell them to keep nurses and patients safe and give their nurses a good contract!
Nurses, patients and hospital staff deserve better than this!
Nurses at Mount Sinai and Montefiore began returning to work Saturday after striking on the picket line in the cold and snow for nearly a month. More than 4,200 nurses at NewYork-Presbyterian, however, remain on strike.

a lot of ppl in the USA would’ve said this exact thing less than a decade ago, and a lot of ppl who live in countries with large far-right political movements rapidly gaining ground (often helped by the same tech billionaire players as here) seem too busy looking askance at the States to notice
It's great to live in a country (Canada, Japan, UK, France, Germany, Sweden, Italy, etc.) where citizens don't worry about if the next election will be canceled, if they will be allowed to register to vote, if they will have to stand in line for hours to vote, or if their vote will be counted.
