These beauties came in this week and I love them.

You can visit wizardstowerpress.com/books-2/nove... to get your delicious paper or snazzy electron copies. @dergullen.bsky.social's half absolutely slaps, a tense story with sustained commitment to an inspired idea.

#booksky #bookqw word: RUN

Journeyman fairy-smith Jedediah has been summoned to deal with a mist that came creeping in on white feet.

This turns out not to be a figure of speech.

For #BookQW, the word is 'run'. Here, we encounter one of the deadlier hazards of the Rust Graveyard.

My nan would always cook Christmas dinner for the family. She was very proud of it, and rightly so, because it was always very good.

One year, however, she decided to treat herself to a couple more schooners of sherry than usual. While not teetotal, she seldom drank.
yes, hello, I would like to place an order for everyone’s funniest stories of holiday food-related family grudges / drama / chaotic incidents / lore

I feel like we need this

Finished reading @r-emrys.bsky.social's novella "The Sheltering Flame" recently. I loved it; it's about a found family who found a Family.

There's a real sense of menace in the story's threat, one that the protagonists are determined to face down despite seemingly overwhelming odds.

UK people, Amazon are currently offering the paperback of Fight Like A Girl #2 for just £4.64. That's less than the book costs to print, and less than the ebook price. It looks like someone is doing a warehouse clearance. There are only 14 copies left, so get yours now.

You're capable of anything because you're so bad at everything, Charlie Brown.
can you fly, charlie brown?
I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched c-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate.

all those moments will be lost in time. like tears in rain.

Story hook: What if the reason no-one has ever been able to observe the soul leaving the body is because in the future a group of time travellers make it their business to save *every* human life throughout history, using advanced technology to replace each living body with an artificial dead one?

I'm gonna put this somewhere more prominent: I don't think this is accurate. This has been around since before GenAI existed. There's no way for us, the users, to know exactly what's going on under the hood for every option, but the behaviour described here existed in its current form before GenAI.
If you use GMail, AI (Gemini) was turned on yesterday by default and now scans all of your content for machine learning. To turn off, go to Settings>General and scroll down. Uncheck the box for "Smart features."

There's other "Smart" add-ons as well, but that's the one that reads your content.
