Louis has come a long way from jerking off in front of people against their will to letting The New Yorker jerk him off in front of people against their will
When a cancelled performer reënters the culture, we expect them to offer us a great work, channelling their newfound clarity into the finest art they’ve ever made. With his new comedy show and début novel, has Louis C.K. met the bar?

Louis C.K.’s Next Chapter
In a new standup special, and a début novel, the comedian navigates murky, post-#MeToo terrain: not quite exiled, not quite welcomed back.

The X-Files is genuinely a timelessly good show, because when not focusing on overarching conspiracy plot, they would really just focus on a single concept and quite crucially, it would cast an incredible actor to center the episode around who would be utterly god damn captivating to watch.

RIP Stoppard. I got to see his 'Rock and Roll' on Broadway with Rufus Sewell, Sinéad Cusack, and Brian Cox in the first year or two of my career, if I recall (it's been....a bit of time) and it's the first time I recall feeling like, Ohhhhh, shit, this is IT. Can't explain it better than that.

I have a million reasons to not really like myself very much but this week every single baby, cat, or dog I've hung out with has felt comfortable enough to crawl into my lap to cuddle a bit and that's really all the validation in life I need.

i would argue i guess one thing that's always bugged me about the sanitized white suburban lib version of migration is like.....

"assimilation" the way these people want it IS impossible. migration IS going to change america and if you're a white nationalist you SHOULD be scared.
Stephen Miller is now arguing that assimilation is fundamentally impossible and that certain cultures are not compatible with Western civilization

The "Larry Summers complained to Jeffrey Epstein that MeToo went too far" and "Olivia Nuzzi committed crimes on behalf of the fascist she masturbated with while reporting on him" are the same story: American elites have no ideology other than "I should be untouchable." Society is run by empty husks
