It happened to me with Disco Elysium, and it was weird because I really liked the writing and I should have been wanting to find more but, after a bunch of failruns that still felt like complete stories, the one that got to the end felt definitive. Afterwards I was just clicking around and I stopped

True that. We don't have any proof, yet. The conjectures are solid enough, there could be proofs of it easily discoverable, it would warrant an investigation BUT sadly the people that could and should investigate it are, apparently, allegedly, involved.

It's the "elephant in the room" antivaxxers think that AI is smart and can understand metaphors. When they get the output they don't question it because unlike people AI is unbiased. They look at this picture and tell themselves: yes, that must be exactly what I meant when I wrote that prompt

For anyone lamenting how some goon was able to get a publishing deal - put together your own book! Create a solid concept, do some planning, create a design, and pitch it! Most publishers don't have open pitch seasons. They want to see someone that can see a full project to completion.

Anyway we can "thank" smartphones and their early adopters

If they wanted to sell their iPhones et all to everybody then everybody had to have access to internet

It's kinda crazy how for the longest time it was kinda of a luxury and the suddenly everybody had it. Kudos to Fastweb that openly marketed it as the best way to pirate (boosting emule) and watching movies/series online as it could circumvent Megavideo's 72' min limit

Fully agree, in one of his first appearances, if not the first, in an Avengers annual he owns and teaches in a training agency for henchmen, totally legit, meaning he does taxes, and honestly he looks above tax fraud.
Then he works for the government (training the new Cap), those paychecks are taxed

No no, I remember that part, inescapable and insufferable global marketing campaign, it lasted years. Or so it seemed. Weird that nobody did a Titanic-spoof by the way. Still I didn't watch it for years as all that noise ended up repelling me too

Anyway one thing I noticed is that outside the "it's awkward" part the other criticism is "It doesn't advance the plot" and I wonder if it's the real problem. Nowadays people seem to see it as the ultimate sin. I wish I could elaborate it better but I relate this to listening to stuff at 2x

To each his own but this kind of discourse reminds me I'm not watching much of late (let's say the past decade 😅) and I'm wondering the same, the blockbuster scene in particular is entirely devoid of it but then I remember I didn't watch Games of thrones and I'm told it was full of it so...
