Unreal that tech execs are acting like “thing might fail if people continue to not like or want it” is our problem and not theirs.

Lacks the language? At this stage I think it's fair to say every NZ'er has heard the words "nah yeah nah it's less than ideal eh", the harshest condemnation a Kiwi can utter. We've got the language for this.
Christopher Luxon refused yday to say whether the abduction of Maduro was illegal or if he had a problem with the attempted annexation of Greenland.

One expert I spoke to thinks our Govt just lacks the language for a world where the US is like this:

PM defends quiet approach to Trump’s actions in Venezuela and Greenland
Christopher Luxon says New Zealand must “control what it can control”, but can still be champion of rules-based order.

Lee Child is going to go back to writing Reacher novels himself just for this.
"Ex-ICE agent" will become the stock character of choice for anyone needing to populate a story with some mooks who are idiotic but also utterly unsympathetic (so if the protagonist curb stomps them it's awesome)

One of the few positives about the last decade or so is people are starting to get hip to the fact that the Luddites were right all along.

NZ Secret Santa destroying the competition here
So yeah, this hack is the equivalent of if you could just change the address bar to a different player and see their address, see their giftee.

No, you can't do that in the secret santa app. You sure as hell shouldn't be able to do it with health data.

The hackers say they will leak more than 400,000 files if a ransom isn't paid, in what an expert says is "the worst data breach that I recall seeing in New Zealand".

I would really like to see NZ's Prime Minister say something fairly unequivocal about this.

He can avoid being directly confrontational if he wants, and just assert that the international rule of law is important or something, but he better say something that at least implies this isn't okay.

New Zealand... we need to chat. Other countries settle for a scrawl of the sausage and plums.

But you with your can-do energy and optimistic DIY spirit said "This needs to be mixed media! This needs perfect 3D spheres! This needs ACTION!"
And you achieved it. It is magnificent. 10/10 no notes.
