This is 83 year old Kenny, he was gifted this kid-safe power tool for cutting cardboard as a thank you for setting up a foundation to help veterans get mobility scooters!

Seems pretty obvious that Terry was already planning to kill his friend and smoked the joint to calm his nerves before the act.
Happy holiday or not or whatever

Okay, arriving at a White Lotus-themed murder mystery. Dressed on theme. Live-skeeting with unpredictable regularity.

I'm about to go to an insane agency Christmas party in Sydney that's a White Lotus-themed murder mystery. Any interest in me live-skeeting it a bit?

Perfect irony. Our substitute for an upper chamber includes the Select Committee process, which identified the RSB as trash. If we actually had an upper chamber, it would have refused to pass the RSB on account of it being a wasteful, undemocratic attempt at constitutional law by stealth.

This is hilarious, like so embarrassing. I'm mainly wondering though, if this has a) fundamentally undermined the basis of MMP by rendering coalition agreements kinda worthless, or b) been a useful example of why seriously batshit minor parties shouldn't overplay their hand even with a weakass major

We're heading towards 2021 levels of low cold/flu in NZ. Maybe warmer weather, less time indoors.

Great read.
I wrote about the fake account blowup on X this weekend. A genuine post-truth nightmare and proof that these companies have polluted their platforms so thoroughly and traded reality for profit that they've undermined the very idea of what the internet is supposed to be.

BLITZER: I want to be precise. Should members of the US military obey clearly illegal orders?

McCLAIN: You're asking an enlisted person for their opinion on what they think is legal. That's a pretty slippery slope. Follow your commander in chief. That's the oath that you took

“The voices that matter most – trans young people, their families, the clinicians who work with them and trans health experts in Aotearoa – have been clear: access to puberty blockers is crucial.”

Young trans people need access to transition healthcare. We must listen to them, not to transphobes.
Puberty blockers: why politicians overriding doctors sets a dangerous precedent
The government’s ban on puberty blockers undermines clinical expertise and targets trans youth with a policy that lacks evidence, consistency and fairness.

Property ownership exceptionalism.

Right up there with "ohhhh, selling a property at a profit isn't income, it's disposal of assets, because my business is in rents".
TL;DR: TPU says people want profit adjusted for inflation.

Inflation, in the context of property, really just means "the housing market" — it's a measure of market cost.

People invest in property because they hope the market will go up (inflate) and they can profit.

Inflation *IS* the profit.
