I’m a hell of a lot better now than I was even five years ago, I think it’s allowing me to weather this time of instability better than I would have in the past.

I worry so much for everyone who’s relatively new to this and experiencing it for the first time, with the world as it is.

I feel this whole thread deep in my bones. I’ve been at it since ‘95 and it took serious, often deeply upsetting therapy to even start to unearth how fucked up I was.

This current game industry business collapse is revealing the deep trauma felt by most game developers, especially those who started in the industry between 1999-2008 or so.

Most have been mistreated in some way, most only just realizing it over the past 2-3 yrs of market turmoil.
