I work with state parties every single day. There are only a handful of national leaders who actually raise real money for the year organizing state parties do--Ken Martin (dnc chair), Simon Rosenberg (Hopium), Sen. Warren and Actblue. Come for Simon and you come for all of us.
I'm not interested in arguing with the good people of Minnesota, on the front lines, doing the hard work of protecting our democracy. I've worked hard to bring your bravery and courage to the world in recent weeks on Hopium.

And honestly, I get it, I do. If my country was doing this bullshit, it *would* be hard not to disassociate myself & people who disagree from it (along with the national embarrassment of being a rabid chihuahua with a population of ~5m), but it does get irritating from outside perspectives.
Saw someone earlier insisting that it's not America, it's the Republican party. All other countries got the ordinary shorthand by her, but the US should be specifically nuanced. Same when the US bombed Iran ("don't say that, *Trump* did it!")

What's interesting to me about this is that people's perception are on average relatively accurate, but you can see the bigger misses on topics where there have been active misinformation campaigns - particularly employment and social housing

Iran's government *is* bad. It's not one or the other, people don't have to pick a team to defend. Israel and Iran and Russia AND the US can all be (& are) massive swinging dicks, this shouldn't be a difficult concept.

Everybody knows that Israel is the only country in the region that has nukes and the only country in the region that is a threat to everybody else.
