Full stack dev (TS, Svelte) mostly playing TTRPGs.
It feels like an incredible take to suggest that the party you're an MP for can't have effective leadership without an unelected staffer connected to an international ring of celebrity/wealthy pedophiles deciding Labour's strategy and tactics.
"full speed ahead to uber-woke, net-zeroist, rejoinerism"

The PLP needs to go for a lie down.

Everything I do requires me to mortgage my future quality of life. Keeping that present in my mind is exhausting all on its own and almost impossible when the neurodivergent hyperfocus/hyperfixation kicks in.
The usury interest rate on #pwME energy usage is the problem. Budgeting (pacing) helps but it’s not a cure, it’s a coping strategy. We need medical treatments that remove whatever is siphoning off our energy, not gaslighting or denial of this energy theft. #GreatestMEdicalScandal
I understand more mild in illness and financially privileged folks can rearrange life (more relaxed work, gardening) and find meaning etc. I was able to do a lot with mild ME. Now I’m trying to pace & crashing for sitting by my grandma in her possibly last days. Now I’m running out of savings.

Abolish ICE, prosecute and imprison its leaders, impeach and remove the President from office. This is the only sane reaction to a group of armed men kidnapping and gunning down our neighbors in the street.
As tens of thousands across America protest the violence that ICE sows with impunity, federal agents shot and killed another person in Minneapolis today.

ICE terrorizes our cities. ICE puts us all in danger. Abolish ICE.

True fans are excited as fuck when someone new gets into their fandom
Apparently you're not allowed to call yourself a fan of something until you've experienced every entry of a franchise and know everything about the entire franchise.

Gatekeepers like this are one of the biggest problems with a fandom.
I'd rather have newer fans than this.

Friends, when the history of this sordid period of America is written — assuming it’s not written by historians trying to curry favor with a future fascist regime — I hope the leaders of American business are condemned to the hellfire they deserve for helping destroy American democracy.

Considering how much Labour effort gets put into trying to "win" right wing issues to win the next election, they should do better on optics issues that are blatantly lurking around the corner. FPTP again making it impossible to vote for change without risking disaster.

STV PR needed very badly
The continuing Mandelson story is I think just another illustration of why this government's approval fell dramatically and remains rock bottom. The change that didn't come - freebies, scandals, old faces, and no sign of understanding why these matter.

The Republicans put a pedophile in the presidency but sure, it's the Dems who are letting rapists and criminals run wild.

(obviously the Dems as an org need to ditch their corporate "influences" but Republicans continue to write down their crimes and pointing at someone else as the culprit)
This is some bitch boy wailing. Grow up. You lost. You only win with cheating and gerrymandering. Republicans are such sore losers. Keep voting blue, I need to see more of this.

And who was the Kingmaker that put Cameron in a position to let the far-right out of their corner of theft Tories? I can't seem to remember for some reason...
Sir Nick Clegg is right - leaving the EU has led to an explosion of red tape, and made us less prosperous, less safe, and less influential. We must repair our relationship with Europe without delay if we want to reverse the damage of Brexit.

ICE are Gestapo. ICE are kidnappers. ICE are cowards.
#GVerse Greg Bovino is openly threatening free speech.

He says if you call federal agents “kidnappers” or “Gestapo,” there will be “consequences.”

That’s intimidation.

Could the government pay salaries to musicians and artists - no strings attached like they do in Ireland?

"I thought [fascism] a term best avoided"

Yeah, that's one of the things that helps the fascists take the dominant position and that seems pretty obvious from history, especially recently.

Labour have a very different kind of incompetence than the Tories. It is nice that the UK government is no longer breaking laws all over but it would also be nice if at least two people in Number 10 were able to forecast political decisions with as much success as a dead molerat

The fascists are showing their commitment to achieving their goals through violence, just like they always end up doing eventually.

When you don't attack Nazis back, they can only see weakness. The fascists can't understand how people having the empathy to restrain themself is the key to society.

If the UK media now do not apply equal harsh measures to Nigel Farage than they did to Angela Raynor, then they are complicit in
a) a Mysoginist narrative where men are forgiven and women 'should have known better' and
b) are actively saying they are okay with Farage in charge.

It's almost like certain countries immediately recognised the potential for exploiting social media for the purpose of influencing insecure and vulnerable people while slowly removing social norms from primarily anonymous spaces
How Trump was elected president for the most powerful nation on Earth - TWICE - will go down in history as one of the truly biggest mysteries.
