The "don't have an extra kid if you can't afford it" brigade get awfully upset when you suggest they don't stay in their £2m house if they can't afford it, don't they?

THREAD.

3 years ago, with no warning, a brilliant orange farm cat wandered over from the draughty barn where he had been living, in rural Cornwall, and decided he wanted to live with us instead.

We decided to call him Jim.

This is the first photo I took of him, on that night: December 1st, 2022.

@gailmyerscough.co.uk I’ve just received this as an Email and would like to congratulate Gail for not caving into the pressure to cut prices just because of a date in the calendar I wish more businesses would do this instead of bombarding me with offers I’m not interested in 👏👏👏

Only a few days left on this Kickstarter for a new revision of John Bulmer’s fantastic photo book - The North.

It’s still a bit short of the total so if you fancy a copy, there’s still time to throw your hat in the ring…

Consider a programmer looking at code they themselves wrote a year ago, now having to identify and fix a bug. They have to rebuild the mental model of what is going on, which is easier if they have already had a mental model of what is going on.
