Ways to fight back through self and community care using the public library.
1. Go to the nearest library and create or update your public library card account. Tell a coworker, friend, or family that you are doing so and ask them to join you.

You know what? 2026 is the year I'm not playing nice anymore.

If copyright means so little to use A / I for playing around, here's one of his book for free:

Folks you still got time to get in on this! Sing with me on the thing!
If you dislike ICE and also enjoy singing and swearing then oh boy I've got the gig for you. I wrote a ditty but it needs an especially foul-mouthed choir. The deadline is Thursday at midnight.

Policy solutions to ICE are about defunding them, taking away their ability to arrest and detain and deport people, and about helping people, neighborhoods, cities who are vulnerable to any of those acts of violence to increase their ability to live without those acts of violence.

It really can't be overstated that the policy solutions to ICE have nothing to do with training, expecting other cops to oppose them, replacing them with other people who will do the same violence, or appeasing the border regime demands of Republicans.

Mommy covered her face with her hands and now she’s lost media 💔
We have to take the phrase "Lost Media" away from YouTubers for awhile until they reeducate themselves on what that actually means.

Already heard from folks nearby that, even with windows and doors closed, tear gas is getting into nearby homes.

Our fed govt is making our city less safe.
Tear gas and smoke filling north and northeast Minneapolis tonight on is a perfectly clear winter night in the city.

Keep your windows closed.

But they should all be saying ABOLISH ICE. They should be be with 77% of Democrats and a majority of the entire population, according to polls, that want to ABOLISH ICE. They should mark that as their ultimate goal and work to achieve it.

Important: While the Utah bill is framed around porn taxes, the actual letter of the bill discusses “material harmful to minors.” So this could start as a porn tax, and if Utah defines LGBT content as “harmful to minors,” balloon into something so much bigger. As is the case with this genre of bills

Apparently this comic is going around on other websites again and getting the usual "but my gender dysphoria is actually super bad" responses and like

Sorry but calling yourself an ogroid thaumaturge or whatever is about as effective for that as coping with allergies by taking a hammer to the face.

Crucially, making it cheaper and easier to have children is actually a process of making the lives of everyone cheaper and easier even if they don't have children, and that's the reason that it improves society. It's not children qua children.
we should make it cheaper and easier to have children

we should make it cheaper and easier to get the support they need - childcare, schooling, therapy, etc

our society should be better about all of this

but even if we do all of that the birthrate will not rise much - look at the Nordic countries

The Powderhorn Park neighborhood has been the biggest target of immigration enforcement in Minnesota. It’s home to a large immigrant community who is now struggling to pay rent. Kidnappings are on the rise because people cannot stay home. Please help us out. Link is in my bio.

I have been thinking this same thing. If you drive the speed limit, or a little below the speed limit, if you slow down for stale greens just in case they're about to turn yellow, if you're extra patient with bikers and pedestrians, you're actually following the law AND slowing down ICE.
As I was being tailgated down W. River Parkway by a large SUV with tinted windows, the thought occurred to me that it might help if everyone drives a bit slower. Gives observers more time to identify feds.

We have a 20 MPH speed limit on residential streets, let’s weaponize it

it’s kind of heartbreaking to read people’s dysphoria because I know so many people who feel like they’re ugly or don’t pass or their voice sounds awful and they have really cute voices and they do pass and they aren’t ugly at all so please just keep your chin up

On my way to the Supreme Court where I'll be proud to support 15-year-old Becky Pepper-Jackson, West Virginia's only transgender athlete, as she opposes the state's effort to ban her from playing as herself.

Win or lose, Becky and her family are heroes for standing up for what's right

Much ink has been spilled to the effect of "trans girl spinny skirt cringe" but I don't think people realize how demandingly rigid the rituals of forced masculinity are. I was screamed at for wearing the "wrong colored" shoes. Let trans women be girls, most were not allowed to be.
One of the great things about being a trans woman is giving yourself permission to finally like cute things that weren't "socially acceptable" to enjoy before.

[Not that this is the way things SHOULD be. Just finding small joy where I can.]

They don't even have to have the full gender conversation just like. Get them on HRT as a regret-preventing measure
coming across social media profiles that are like, “I’m just a crossdressing guy! no more than that!” and 90% of their pictures are of them in girl mode, even just while hanging out with friends, and in their guy mode pics they look super depressed and it’s like, babe, I just want to talk okay
