The 500 words competition where weans write a story and if they win they get to go to Windsor Castle to meet the royal courtesy queen. Am I the only person thinking given current circumstances that weans should be nowhere near royal residences.

UK and US sink to new lows in global index of corruption.

The Index is flawed but tells a story. Political parties, legislators available for hire, crony contracts, VIP lanes, money buys honours

UK more corrupt than Estonia, Hong Kong, Uruguay, Ireland.

No relief in sight.

Perhaps on reflection the attack line for Scottish Labour MPs is to use this reminder of who took money from Labour Together- McSweeney’s and Mandelson’s campaign?

🟡The SNP has reduced income tax for those on basic and intermediate rates. 55% of Scots pay less tax than UK counterparts.

🐎It’s a 2-horse race between the SNP and Tories in Edinburgh Central.

🗳️Vote SNP and Angus Robertson for fairer taxation.

I have made up my mind and looked into it. Vote SNP 1 and SNP 2 is my vote

Giving away to the green decreases the amount of SNP returns.

It will especially not help in areas that have high Tory and now Reform votes. Giving 2 to 🍏

So yup that's what my opinion is after reading further into it.

I have today been informed that, despite personal assurances to the contrary, the Green party have once again used my image and misrepresented my words on a second leaflet circulated in Gorton and Denton ahead of the by-election. I have now lodged an official complaint with the returning officer.

Breaking: Anas Sarwar said tonight he has complete confidence in Sir Kier & says he gives the PM his fool backing.

Mr Sarwar added: “I utterly condemn Anas Sarwar’s divisive intervention today which was idiotic, immature & incoherent”.
“I will be having words with him when we get him home” 👀 😳

Scottish Labour: Hardly the politics of "Standing Up for Scotland." More accurately the politics of silence & cowardice.
As Scottish Labour grandees dine at 10 Downing Street, here's where things stand

MPs/MSPs calling for Starmer to go:
Sarwar
Lennon
Baillie
Leishman

Murray, Alexander, McNeill, Shanks, and McCluskey (all govt ministers) back PM

Not a peep from other 18 MSPs & 32 MPs

Anyone who thinks this is Anas Sarwar putting 'country before party' needs their damn head examining. This is Anas Sarwar putting his own ludicrous hopes of becoming Scotland's First Minister ahead of both his party and country

The London commentariat are frankly embarrassing on any Scottish issue.

I think the best thing about Anas Sarwar's press conference this afternoon was thatmjust after calling for Starmer to quit, he took questions from the journalists present and 2 minutes in someone basically asked 'Hang on, weren't you friends with Mandelson as well?'

Trust Anas Sarwar to schedule a press conference calling for Keir Starmer to resign, only to see Starmer's allies rally around... and leave the person more likely to have to resign be Sarwar himself.

The Trump administration seems to have deliberately starved Ukraine of Patriot missiles just when Putin was ramping up the Russian campaign to freeze and kill Ukrainian civilians.

Raise your hand if you think it is a coincidence.

True, Sarwar has been ineffective since he became Labour leader. Maybe he's pissed off Starmer sacked his "good friend" Mandelson?

Sarwar, there you go, got national platform to run out his campaign soundbites. He is such an opportunistic barsteward he would throw his personal friend, Starmer, under the bus to save his political career. Shameless flip flopping
