This is what comes of insisting on teaching kids how to use LLMs "responsibly" or "ethically."
They don’t even necessarily *know* whether they’re using LLMs anymore. What’s OK? Summaries, Grammarly? Brainstorming? Their college has an institutional subscription to ChatGPT, so why is their prof mad at them for using it?

And it was on this day, this hallowed day, we all, as a people, agreed to never again say the name Kim Davis, so she could slink back to her normal life, living in a candy cottage, cooking and eating children who took the wrong dark, crooked path through the woods.

Advent is a mere 3 weeks away!

Consider this. Who in your life...
needs to know more about eels?
feels joy in learning?
likes the ocean?
needs a little treat?

You should send them an Eel Facts Advent Calendar!

Sales support @skypeascientist.bsky.social and it's just plain fun!

Head's up there is a Bluesky ban scam going around. This account just joined 40 mins ago and send me this DM.

DO NOT CLICK THE LINK.

Bluesky would NEVER send a DM like this and make you scared. This would come through email and would have a more professional email than this.

Stay safe!

these are surprisingly still available. I know I’m not the only person who goes to concerts but maybe I am one of the only ones who goes alone
I lined up concerts around work trips I had. Due to the shutdown, the trips are canceled.

Chicago: 1 tik to Patti Smith on Nov. 18th

Pittsburgh: 1 tik to Wednesday (in McKees Rocks) on Nov. 20th

If you can't afford to pay for it, it's ok. I'd just rather they weren't wasted. DM for either ❤️

Every so often I'm like "jfc I feel like I have been so scatter-brained all this year, why can't I focus on things, why am I always behind at work" and then it's like...

Oh. Right.
One of our country's greatest war criminals just died, the president is arguing with himself about whether or not to let 40 million people starve, and there is an actual courtroom drama about a five dollar footlong.

How are any of us supposed to maintain emotional regulation.

There’s only one way to explain why questions like “who do NYC voters like for mayor,” and “what do San Franciscans think about George Washington,” become national issues that define the Democratic Party, while genuine Republican extremism with national implications is glossed over as a local issue.
The whole state of Idaho banning all vaccine mandates should be bigger news! If you want your grandmother's nursing home or your daughter's day care to require nurses and teachers to vaccinate, you literally can't! None of them are allowed to require that.

If your AI tool is soooo good I cannot even live without it, how come you gotta try to trick me into clicking on it or make it so I can't opt out of it? If it's such an incredible necessary product, how come I don't WANT to use it but am being BULLIED into using it? 🧐
