it's genuinely hard to produce creative work in an environment of stress, threat, and sheer boiling ugliness. it's hard to flex when you're flinching

"back to fighting" sir please take your meds and don't be stingy. in fact just start taking whatever pills you can find, it's only upside from here.
The sooner we get past internal recriminations and back to fighting united, the better off we all are — the likelier our victory next November.

The President pardoned members of his private militia after they failed to overturn an election; they, in turn, pledge their support to him and urge him to use them to police civil society.
New:

On The Gateway Pundit's podcast yesterday, Stewart Rhodes announced he's relaunching the Oath Keepers

He also urged Trump to “call us up as a militia" & "order us all to come together in our counties under his command."

4 years ago a doomed floor vote on the health policy people wanted was "a meaningless gesture" but now a doomed floor vote on the health policy we already have is going to be touted as a respectable win. Cool.

basically every 2024 truism is dead. Trump did not build a lasting multiracial coalition or turn young men into committed Republicans. You don’t need to cave on trans rights to win. The pundits have nothing left to tell you.

Evil as hell. Glad to know that one of my senators, @amyklobuchar.com, voted to confirm USDA Sec. Brooke Rollins, the monster who is forcing children to go hungry.

@amyklobuchar.com voted for most of the Trump monsters to show that she’s “bipartisan.” Thanks Amy, great job!
The USDA sent an email to grocery stores telling them they are prohibited from offering special discounts to customers affected by the SNAP funding lapse.
I'm aware of at least 2 stores that had offered struggling customers a discount, then withdrew it after receiving this email

Schools went on lockdown, people stayed inside. It lasted the entire afternoon. A constant din of whistles, sirens, helicopters, people shouting. Or dead silence.

I see the NYT, New Yorker, commentariat frame it as "activists clashing with ICE."

No.

ICE/CBP/DHS are terrorizing US citizens.
