No appointee of this administration even bothers to create the appearance of doing their job anymore, just openly serving as the president's personal apologist and attack dog. Completely illegitimate government
wow -- Bondi throws a fit in response to Nadler's question about how many of Epstein's co-conspirators, if any, she's investigating, aggressively pointing at him and yelling. The hearing then devolves into chaos and Raskin and Bondi start yelling at each other.

This is the aftermath of an ICE kidnapping a few blocks from my home in St. Paul—an hour ago. A quiet street full of broken glass and at least three wrecked cars. The target of the kidnapping was taken away by ambulance. He was on a stretcher and covered by a sheet, though a cop said he was alive.

Well I didn't vote for the Laken Riley Act but @ossoff.bsky.social did so can there be some burden on him too? Because I don't get to vote again for months and he's doing it all the time.

I've been to some countries where people live under military rule or autocracy. And without fail, one of the questions I get when they ask about life in the U.S. is whether it's true that Americans just let homeless people die on the street.
During freezing temperatures in Port Arthur, Texas, a 61-year-old homeless man was found dead in his wheelchair outside a convenience store.

He was wearing a hospital gown and no shoes. Authorities say he had been released from a hospital the previous day.

This is a diseased society.

Good morning! Taxing the wealth of the richest 1% of Americans down to the median wealth of the next-richest 9% ($5.2 million per household) would free up $48 trillion. Redistributing that to the poorest 50% of Americans would give *68 million households* an average of *$700k per household*.

The article itself is highly critical of Democratic policy proposals, which could be reasonably deemed moderately liberal.

Overall, Biasly ranks the Dallas Express as somewhat liberal, despite the website's CEO having described it as conservative.

The founder & CEO of Substack, Chris Best, was interviewed by Nilay Patel 2 years ago about this very topic.

Best shrugged it off, saying “I’m not gonna engage in ‘gotcha’ content moderation”, and then tried to frame his position as some kind of altruistic posture of upholding “freedom of speech”.👇🏾

VA Gov. Spanberger (moderate, was in CIA) and NYC Mayor Mamdani (left, is in DSA) both taking steps to block local law enforcement from helping ICE as it violently violates people's rights is a good example of how the relevant divide in the Dem coalition isn't center-left, it's fight-don't fight.
