James O’Keefe responds to a comment

“Figured they (ICE protesters) were being paid…”

O’Keefe:

“No, it's more terrifying than that. It's not transactional.

They actually believe in their cause.

That truth is going to be hard for most people to understand or accept.”

this is why they invented the whole notion of "virtue signaling". they wanted it all to be empty posturing, they wanted to denigrate the act of standing up and be seen doing something virtuous, all because genuine virtue and bravery are completely alien to them.

Signal is compromised in the exact same sense that an irl community meeting would be compromised when a dude nobody knows shows up and starts loudly asking where all the guns are and whether any fellow leftists can let him in on any cool plans to commit crimes.

Which is not at all.

DC had its worst snowstorm in a decade and I haven’t seen a single guardsman with a shovel despite an ongoing, obvious need. I have seen scores continuing to stand around and waste taxpayer dollars.

If the armed Federal agents wanted to win over the residents of DC, they could start by picking up a snow shovel
I think it is somewhat interesting that the armed soldiers occupying DC against local wishes aren't attempting to win local hearts and minds or get easy favorable press coverage, but I'm not that surprised either

Grateful to the people of Minnesota for many things but among them is the affirmation that the sense of community and neighborliness that so many of us feel is much much more common (and felt much more strongly!) than modern media wants us to think it is.

Immigration is a net good. It improves the lives of the people who immigrate and the people in the areas the immigrate to. Supporting immigration is both morally and economically sound and a good government would encourage and facilitate it instead of making it as difficult as possible
The last few years have seen the largest wave of immigration in American history. All those images we carry in our heads about people arriving at Ellis Island — we just surpassed that. Crime went down. Real wages went up. This is a fake problem. Enough is enough.

This is why USDS was converted into DOGE. The original USDS was a leader in the charge to liberate government from wealthy parasites, so the coalition of private equity billionaires bastardized it as hard as possible. Deleting 18F was prioritized for the same reason.

Bovino’s retirement needs to be a cage. His command environment yielded Renee Good’s death, Alex Pretti’s death & Julio Sosa-Celis’ shooting. Failure to prosecute Bovino & everyone else materially responsible for these atrocities will be understood by ICE, CBP, etc as a green light for the next ones

it is both true that firing bovino doesn’t change a whole lot in terms of policy and also true that they have put a lot of money, time and effort into trying to make him the “never back down, fuck you, we own this place” face of the operation, and unceremoniously kicking him to the curb is a retreat

Majority of the country now wants to abolish and/or dismantle ICE and yet Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y. told the caucus the message had to be to “restrain, reform and restrict ICE.”

Once again it looks like Schumer is about to choke after getting a massive opportunity.

So pathetic and weak.

Deep, deep in the American psyche is a sense of justice, and a hatred for authority abused

MAGA and the segregationist movement it came from have tried to erase that since Reconstruction ended

They didn’t win then, they won’t win now.
The regime obviously thought they'd be able to take out a few dozen scary-queer-weirdo Antifa types in black masks and then successfully cow the rest of the Coastal Elite Liberal class into terrified silence: they were not expecting "totally fearless mass nonviolent resistance by entire cities."
It also sounds like at least some of them thought the cameras wouldn't matter because they were assuming that a couple of public executions would cause all of the resistance to run and hide.

They don't understand courage.

Courage isn't the absence of fear.

Courage is standing and holding the line regardless of fear.

As usual, bullies and fascists are cowards in the face of courage.
