I remember watching one of those, I think I gave up and went to bed at like 1 am? And it went on for another hour? Or more? I recall zero details beyond “hockey, playoffs”.
One of those giant old zucchinis, that hide out under a big leaf until they’re so big you can hardly lift them. Just let it sit until the skin is old & thick & hard, and then *thwack*.
Absolutely a terrible idea, credit reporting agencies.
So glad you’re going. South Africa is indeed a beautiful country, with many wonderful people. I hope you have a marvellous time!
Well…I enjoyed the first two seasons for the most part but it can be hit or miss. If you were meh-to-okay about the first two shows I’d give more of S1 a try but if you really didn’t like them it might not be worth the time. I’m not much for really hardcore horror, but found this fun.
Not procedural TV, but in a related vein…have you ever watched SurrealEstate? Guy who runs a small agency that deals in haunted properties.
It took me over a decade to convince Equifax Canada that I have never lived in Regina Beach, and anything that was attaching my name to that address was WRONG. what a shitshow. I think it was an affidavit from the realtor who helped me buy my wee house in Regina that finally tipped the scales.
Well, that sounds like you’re going to South Africa! Cape penguins and Kruger National Park!
For a second I thought that was some sort of black disfigured hand reaching out! Then I zoomed a bit and *deep sigh of relief* just kitteh
Good night, Monty! Good night, Monty’s beans!
Yeah you don’t want to let your small pets out with eagles around!
This is part of a collection of Those Guys who refuse to believe that wiimminfolk were into anything (books or media) SF/F unless that fantasy involved being called to imagine oneself as the delicate princess needing princes/dads and GOODNESS not RPGs the females certainly couldn’t do gaming…
Pics 3 and 4 really do tell the story! 👀

stocked and, surprise surprise, everyone bought stuff. Most folks don’t want to take the last item for various reasons, and boy the years that couple owned the store showed that CLEARLY.
Our tiny town, tiny grocery store was owned for a while by a couple who decided they would only stock one or maybe two of most items. In typical small town fashion, nobody bought that one “in case someone else needed it”. They sold after sales kept dropping. Person who bought it kept the shelves
They’re still trying to fix up all the citations their chatgpt writing team puked out.
Another excellent (and very fuzzy) sploot!
Found this tonight cleaning out a drawer. Talk about a throwback (is #tbt #ThrowBackThursday a thing any more? Am I old?)

I was never that keen a skier; I could really afford it and it was way too cold for my liking. But it was a gang of us who went from U Calgary.
Fun is where you find it, I guess is what I’m saying. In a roundabout way? Sort of?
I dunno - one of the most interesting books I read in grad school (lo these many years ago) was Susan George’s Faith and Credit - comparing the World Bank to a church, converting the world to capitalism. I’m gonna add this to my TBR (anything Cory writes is already there)!
What’s it like inside your head?

(Maybe not ALL the time but definitely like 75-80%…)
