I keep getting these people! It doesn’t matter how clear I am or which words I use. If I say it’s wrong to screen #autistic people out of the gene pool, some parent WILL jump in to tell me about their benighted child who they apparently wish didn’t exist.
Me: Eugenics is bad.

Autism Mom: You need to remember that not all autistic people are as high-functioning as you are. Your comment doesn’t take into account people like my nonverbal son.

I see so many autistic humans afraid to name a need because they’ve only ever encountered punishment for having one.

We don’t resist support - we resist the cost of asking.

#AutChat A2.2 - I think a lot of kids are told that some emotions are bad. "Don't cry", religious admonishments to "not be angry at another" and similar. Autistic people in particular I think can sometimes internalize this BS and think "My emotions are bad".
#AutChat A2 - I need to intellectually process my emotions to realize what I'm feeling sometime. I definitely feel emotions, but sometimes I don't know what or why they are.
Q2: What does it take for you to become aware of an emotion that you usually have difficulty with recognising in yourself? #AutChat

#AutChat is a tag for autistic people & "autistic cousins" (people with similar experiences due to hydrocephalus, cerebral palsy, ADHD, etc).

We welcome autistic/similar people whether formally diagnosed, self-diagnosed, or questioning/wondering if they are autistic/similar.

TBH most autism research is done by non-Autistic researchers who intentionally exclude Autistic people and consider us demanding to be treated like people a barrier to their work and repeatedly ask the wrong questions.

The right questions would be about our internal lives, first and foremost.
This is also why a lot of autistic people hate gene related autism research.

I was homeless and living in a shelter in 2019. I started writing and pitching stories from my shelter bunk. Was diagnosed Autistic and came up with the idea for COLOR TASTE TEXTURE. Had literary agents and my first Big5 publishing deal within 2 years from being homeless.

At the end of the day, a mother is still without her son tonight. A scared teen is still without his mom. For no good reason. Shouldn’t that be of concern to Houston's leaders?

I've been told not to tell you, but I haven't been told not to tell you that I've been told not to tell you, so I'm going to tell you that.
This is a fantastic bit of lawyering by a prosecutor who just effectively told the judge that a declination memo exists without technically violating his direct instructions
MORE: Under questioning by the judge, prosecutor Tyler Lemons said that he’s under orders from the Deputy Attorney Generals’s office not to disclose whether there is a declination memo recommending against the prosecution of Comey

Hey autistic and non-autistic Aussies. Onorah needs more participants for their research. The survey isn't too long or difficult and it's for a good cause!
Are you autistic and living in Australia? If so, please consider completing my research survey. It takes 45-60min and will help us understand the experience and impacts of autism identification, to try improve access to autism identification. tinyurl.com/autism-uc14359 #autismresearch #psychresearch

Imagine losing your bank account and all the money in it because you sold mommy dom audio online.

This is fucking terrifying. Just straight up evil. Whatever legal funds need to be had for this, I will donate and spread it around as much as possible. This needs more attention.
Spoke to a second source familiar with what’s going on with paypro censorship toward me. It seems I’ve been blacklisted among paypros as a creator, particularly for mommy domme content. This could escalate into debanking, I learned

I was once banned from a local business, not because of the story I wrote for my college paper, but over something my editor insisted be added to the article.
When you think about it, concealing the editors misrepresents (not in every case, but in a lot of if not most cases) who in fact is responsible for the story. And it puts the writer — most often lower down on the editorial totem pole — in the line of fire for something an editor is responsible for.

MeToo did not go far enough. People were saying "MeToo has gone too far" when it had barely just picked up momentum.

It was an attempt at reckoning with how institutionally misogynistic and sexually exploitative most institutions are and what women are constantly put through. So it was crushed.
This idea that #metoo was a temporary piece of insanity that happened because America was too woke...

Fuck you. It was a temporary moment in time when people decided, for the first time, that 20 women were finally equal to one man.

my wokest opinion is that land acknowledgements are fine. people knowing a little bit about the land you're on, even if one isn't invested in a land back project, is not particularly worse than the status quo, even if one comes by this info in a way that is somewhat cringe and forced
"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.
