Ohio Governor Mike DeWine's whole deal is doing obviously stupid or horrible shit for partisan reasons, then later claiming he shouldn't have done it. And rather than being blamed for bad governance, he somehow gets points as a folksy truth-teller. www.dispatch.com/story/news/l...

Did, uh, anyone notice that when Carville claims in his NYT piece that “defund the police” was bad that the link takes you to an Appeal story about why ”fund the police“ was bad? Any editors, perhaps?

Publicize what these people said.

Publicize that they asked soldiers to abide by the Constitution and disobey illegal commands.

The meaning of what's happening with these demands from DJT needs to be crystal clear.

It’s vital to change leader but without changing any policy position or letting the public have a say or really conceding any power at all or even admitting fault. A fresh start, no contrition needed, because nobody did anything wrong.

The problem with antidemocratic authoritarianism is that when you successfully force all politics into a bleak, hopeless vista of crackdowns and horrific, finger-jabbing Thatcherite swine, and everything is still falling to bits and utterly horrible, then it kind of looks like *you* are to blame.

It's weird to not only have lived through an information revolution but also now living through its undoing, all within less than a generation.

Did I complain? I asked a question. I think she's been doing a lot of good stuff and I heard something off hand about her not supporting Medicare for all so I figured I'd ask her plan. Maybe she wants something I'd accept and has some aversion to the Medicare for all label. I don't know.
