I just spoke with the White House after another horrific shooting by federal agents this morning. Minnesota has had it. This is sickening.

a big problem here is the way every scrap of a claim about Democrats supposedly selling out gets hyped and inflated, and then even when it turns out to be untrue people remember it as having happened, or as having almost happened. Builds bad mental models.

On Fox 9 just now they interviewed a woman at the scene in Minneapolis. She says she’s not an activist but felt a call to action like she hasn’t felt since 9/11. She says she was raised to love America. She says she’s never felt scared of the government in her life, until now.

This is surreal. 4 Oglala Lakota men kidnapped by ICE in Minneapolis have finally been located. One of them was released but the other 3 are being held at Fort Snelling, a former concentration camp used to imprison Native people incl. the Dakota 38 during Dakota Wars.

I saw Eugene Mirman (voice of Gene on "Bob's Burgers"—I'm enough of a cartoon dork to recognize voice actors) having lunch at the same restaurant. He ordered the charcuterie and I tried sending him a refill on the pâté because *Gene*. But the waiter was, like, "dude, no, we don't refill pâté."
