CNN: 'Walz has mobilized the state National Guard to support the Minnesota State Patrol.... An official in the governor’s office said the move was a reconfirmation of Walz’s direction for the state National Guard to mobilize in support of the local law enforcement. The guard hasn’t been deployed.'

We are not the first people, or the first country, to suffer under a tyrannical government that does not respect our lives, or our rights.

I told the White House the state must lead the investigation.

Let state investigators secure justice. As we process the scene, stay peaceful and give them space.

The State has the personnel to keep people safe – federal agents must not obstruct our ability to do so.

The 2026 National Defense Strategy has dropped. I worked on the last one. As far as I can tell, no mentions of climate, energy, minerals, base resilience, natural disasters, wildfires. The defense industrial base gets a nod but pretty hand-wavy. I'll have more to say early next week.
