i feel like every 3d generation except the first (n64/psx/saturn) still looks mostly fine but some of the earlier gcn/ps2/xbox/dreamcast stuff i'd be okay with remasters. that first 3d gen though, there are plenty of games that were great in spite of the controls/graphics so i'd want those first.

As @paleofuture.bsky.social notes in this thread, these images were probably created using Google's Nano Banana Pro image generator. NBP is really good at making photorealistic images that are getting really difficult to spot in the wild.
I've seen this image enough now that I feel like I should point out it's fake.
