I didn't know that I would be so enamored with talking mammoths but Mars House by Natasha Pulley really caught my heart (for a lot of reasons, but especially the mammoths)

The book is good, folks. Absolutely the most human-centered and even intermittently uplifting way of writing about a legitimate cultural scourge imaginable. Absolutely as fun to read as it is infuriating. You should get it.

The book is good, folks. Absolutely the most human-centered and even intermittently uplifting way of writing about a legitimate cultural scourge imaginable. Absolutely as fun to read as it is infuriating. You should get it.
If you're mad about #joanns and want to know more, check out Bad Company by Megan Greenwell. It's a good look at private equity and how it affects the everyday person, with some hope for how communities can band together and reclaim what private equity ruined.

Really had a blast with this one. A rich world, stunning characters, and a near impossible treasure hunt. I love when technology and magic mix. Plus all these characters have rich backstories. Kept me hooked all the way through and was so fun to read. #sffbooks
