They murdered Keith Porter. They murdered Renee Good. They murdered Sylverio Gonzales. They have murdered dozens in ICE custody. They are breaking into people’s homes without a warrant in Minnesota.

This picture of laughable screens-are-killing-our-kids conman, Jonathan Haidt, in which he equates the Left's rejection of IQ pseudoscience with Rightwing fascism, gets funnier once you notice that all of the things in the LEFT column read like character labels in a Kelly cartoon.

ik i keep ranting about this but wes streeting is just such a danger.

this is another example of him falling for a grifter and harming children in doing so.

he did the same thing with hannah barnes -- a christian whackjob who spreads medical disinformation about trans kids.

he's doing it again.

I’m profoundly uninterested in the “cultural safety” of the status quo, especially when that culture is predicated on a violent, racist and discriminatory dominance. You do not get to invoke this language to erase those already disadvantaged and discriminated against - it is entirely obscene.

if you want to know what it is like in minneapolis, I don’t even have to scroll on facebook to find a horror story. it’s basically my whole feed.

everyone i know in minneapolis is seeing ICE take people—at gas stations, taquerias, bus stops, schools. just snatching random people.

Rest in power to Keith Porter who was murdered by an ICE agent in Los Angeles.

It’s terrible that his name is just now being circulated, but now that it is, continue to say his name.
Advocates want legal action after man shot and killed by off-duty ICE agent in Northridge
Advocates argue that the off-duty ICE agent wasn't trained for the situation and should have called police and waited for them to arrive.

The whole point of Verify is to tell the public that they're wrong, not to tell important people that they're wrong.
So far the BBC’s coverage of the Minnesota killing seems really, really off

Get Verify to verify what happened - NYT, Bellingcat etc already have - and report that
Evan Davis faux scratching his head on PM as to how there can be such different interpretations of clearly documented incidents (the shooting in Minnesota), right after platforming someone from the Heritage Foundation giving a deliberately false interpretation of events, barely challenged.

You're a councillor for a party of authoritarian, transphobic racists who are putting all the effort they can muster into punishing poor people and those with disabilities.

I know seeing someone oppose that is confusing for you scumbags, but you're going to have to get used to it.

The BBC is the state broadcaster, so it is institutionally biased towards presenting the state's narrative. This extends to habitually reporting the narrative of foreign govts, so long as they are "allies". For non-allies, the courtesy will be extended to "regime opponents" and "dissidents" instead.
I understand the pressures on the BBC, but Radio 4's coverage of the Minneapolis shooting is an example of "bad balance".

It's all "the Trump regime says she was a terrorist, but Democrats say it was murder".

The BBC has the footage. It doesn't have to treat truth and falsehood as equally valid.

I don't know what to say about this other than that it feels like the annihilation of the human spirit. There's no possible compromise with ICE or the people who support them, and even if there were a possible compromise, it would be immoral
You and your wife drop your 6-year-old off at school. You just moved here. You see ICE terrorizing your new neighbors. You film them, as is your legal right. Your wife complies with orders. She is then shot in the head. You still have to pick up your child later today.

This could be you.
